Contact sheet & Analysis

My idea was to take a load of mid-shots in different settings with different props, then to decide which pictures were suitable for the different parts of my magazine. I visited a variety of places and took photos and also used a range of models.
Some of my images didn’t come out the way I wanted them to due to a few difficulties such as lighting. Therefore, I had decided to try out different places and different times of day, which affected the lighting. In some of my images, either my models were not ready or the photo was taken in such an angle, that parts of the models bodies/props were cut off.
The mise en scene used were meant to represent loud/live people. My props represented music very well, such as the beat box and headphones. I also decided to take my photos in a skate park, using props such as a skateboard, bike and a brimmed hat and braces which to me and the audience represented the Michael Jackson look.
I also made sure that, my models were dressed as hip hop/ R&B artists. For example, the baseball jackets, high top trainers, snapbacks etc.
I used a range of shots such as mid shots, full shots and high angle/low angle shots. This at the end gave me many options and ideas to how and what I can do to create my magazine.
